SleepSexWorkEatDrinkDream
neoprene, foam, plywood, velcro, zippers, casters
Virtu Furniture 13 Competition winner (Canada 2001)

SleepSexEatWorkDrinkDream is a 24-hour furniture type for new ways of living. Its design responds to the temporal demands of the new lifestyle: sofa becomes bed, becomes breakfast table, becomes office furniture, becomes socialising apparatus, becomes study desk, becomes place to dream and plan for the future.
Responding to this call, SleepSexEatWorkDrinkDream has no back or front, allowing it to take on a variety of spatial configurations. It has integrated storage, making it easy to stow the remote control, office files, textbooks, notebook computer, or a change of clothes. It's backrests are reconfigurable into seven different positions, allowing for a variety of uses - lounge, loveseat, daybed, study place, or home office centre. The density of the cushions allows them to take on a number of functions - ottoman, stool, work surface, or backrest. The reversible neoprene upholstery can be unzipped for easy cleaning.
